What’s in a Name

What's up with the name Curious Leadership? I'm glad you asked.

The problem: Most people want to excel, yet they often pursue excellence by doing what others do. If you do what everyone else does, you can never achieve more than average results. In other words, following the same path results in mediocrity. That's why so many are frustrated. They want to excel, they follow the script, and then find themselves blending in with everyone else. That's not what being a leader is.

To be a leader, you have to be a little bit weird. You need curiosity. Leaders need to see what no one else sees, to ask the questions others don't ask, and to combine diverse knowledge into something new. Leaders need to challenge the status quo and propose innovative solutions. Excellence is rare. It's weird. It's curious. If you want to excel in your chosen pursuits, then curiosity isn't just nice—it's essential.

My name is Shawn, and I started this journey because I've always been curious. At times, I thought this was an obstacle to success, but as I increasingly learned to embrace curiosity, it has proved to be the secret sauce to remarkable results. I’ve also discovered it is more fun and more fulfilling. I started Curious Leadership because I want to help others find what I have found.

At Curious Leadership, our mission is clear: we coach individuals and teams to identify their purpose, leverage their unique talents, and build the habits necessary to focus on the most critical work. We value curiosity, stewardship, and focus, aiming to create flourishing leaders who can make a difference in the world.

Through our workshops, one-on-one coaching, masterminds, and bespoke coaching for teams, we help professionals and leaders break free from the chaos of unproductive, busy schedules. Look around: Everyone is busy, but few are productive. Productive people are a curiosity. They are also less busy, more fulfilled, and in high demand. I want to equip you with proven strategies backed by solid research to not only enhance your productivity but also align your work with your purpose, making meaningful progress toward your goals.

The world is built to keep you busy, and I understand how overwhelming constant busyness can be, but it doesn't have to be this way. Be weird, be curious, and choose a different path. The world needs productive leaders leveraging their talents for the good of others.

Join me on this adventure. When you're ready to take control of your productivity, take a step out of the ordinary and contact us. Schedule a call today, and let's embark on the journey together!
